Welcome to the website for the Summer 2004 Staff Party of the employees from Irving on Stavanger
Drive.
We all had an awesome time at this event. We started out with a fun dinner at East Side Marios,
where some of us tried some dishes we normally wouldn't have. Some found it good, others not so good PS: DON'T TRY THE
SPUD PIZZA!!!
We were supposed to go mini golfing at Admiral Johns after dinner, however the Newfoundland weather
was not on our side and we had to settle for some old time bowling!!!
This was an experience none of us will soon forget!! We all divided into teams and learned
some new things about our staff members, including the odd ways some of us throw our bowling balls. In all it was a
fun time!!
After pulling our arm muscles out at bowling we headed downtown to check out the NEWFOUNDLAND HAUNTED HIKE This prooved to be an experience in itself.
The walk was mostly uphill, which for some of us (mostly me lol) was a real killer!! The hike
was hosted by a man dressed up in old time costumes, and played his part very well, telling us the stories of murder, prostetution,
torture and horror, all which took place in St. John's hundreds of years ago.
It was a little scary, however I think the worse part of that experience was the Span Worms, which
have infested most of the trees in St. Johns. Their webs could be seen on most of the trees since it had been raining,
and my personal experience wasn't a nice one. I found one BEHIND MY EAR!!! YUCK!!!!
After the walk, some of us headed off to a local pub called the Grumpy Stump for some KARAOKE!!!
The place was brought down by the stylings of John and Melissa's ROCK LOBSTER, the crowd was going wild. And we won't
forget the disasterous but fun rendidtion of Lady Marmalade by the Pizza Hut 'GIRLS'
It was the best Staff party I have personally ever been too, lots of laughs and bonding!! I'm
sure I speak for all of us when I say we can't wait to do this again soon!!
